    traffic in this market. If a CPA offer does not have much search volume for its most relevant keyword then it’s not worth promoting the offer.

    This tool allows you to compare search volume patterns across specific regions, categories and time frames.
    Say, typing in the word “ringtones”. Using Google insights, it is clear that while the search volume for ringtones is high enough but it was at its peak in 2004. The search volume for 2009 is at 40% of 2004.
    This helps you to know the trend of demand for the particular keyword.

    You can also gauge demand on Google trends which allows you to see the trend for keywords over a period of time. Using the keyword “Valentine Cards” shows that search volume is at its peak in the month of February.

Next, you need to gauge the competition.
