An e-commerce website refers to a website where you can buy and sell goods and services on the internet. Fulfilment of orders can be online i.e. electronic products or services or it can be offline i.e. for physical products or services.

So you want to set up an e-commerce website. While it may appear daunting, it is very easy if you set your mind to it. There are several ways of going about it,

You can build an e-commerce website on your own if you have the necessary skills. Some popular software for building a website include Microsoft Frontpage and Macromedia Dreamweaver.

After building you website, you will need a shopping cart software program that will help you take orders, calculate shipping and tax. It should be able to send sales notification too. Several options include GoEcart.com and 1shoppingcart.com. You can also make use of the e-commerce solution provided by Ezhostcafe.com.

Next, you will definitely need to obtain a means of receiving payments online. For this to be possible, you need a merchant account and a payment gateway. Some banks might reject you but keep trying until you get one that will accept you. Some leading payment gateways include Authorize.net and Verisign.

Of course, it might be too expensive to get the above or you might not even have access to a merchant account especially if you in Africa. This therefore means that you might have to consider a third party payment processor like Paypal
etc.

Next, you need to host your website. You need to find a web hosting company that supports e-commerce websites such as Godaddy. Network Solutions, Ezhostcafe.com etc or for some people who prefer a local option where they can initiate a direct contact especially in times of outage, use redwoodng.com.

Another option is to use a hosted solutions such as Prostores by Ebay or Yahoo stores by Yahoo. This typically costs between $30 – 40 per month plus setup fees of up to $50 per month. Ensure your hosted solution offers a full wizard-driven setup, multiple templates, SSL encryption, database driven system, multiple payment options etc.

Another option is to completely outsource the building of your ecommerce website to a company that will build the website from scratch. The company can handle the building of your website, a custom built shopping cart and advertising. Such a company include Ezhostcafe.com, redwoodng.com etc

Of course, you don’t even need to build or setup an e-commerce website. You can simply make use of several services or auctions websites to sell your goods and services. Such websites include Ebay, Craigslist, swapthings.com etc

Thats about all. If you have any comments please don’t hesitate to drop me a line below.

Paypal
without a doubt is the most powerful online banking hegemony worldwide. I have not come across any phenomenon like Paypal
in recent history. Paypal
, however, has failed several internet users. For example, Paypal
does not accept several African countries and restricted most of these African countries to just making payments i.e they cannot accept payments or withdraw. So obviously, Africans and non Africans living in Africa can neither open nor operate a Paypal
account.

Paypal
seems to be viewing Africa unfairly. It is generally viewed by most investors that Africa is not among the emerging markets and it is not a potential market for internet opportunities. Likewise, the growth and investment in Africa is lagging the rest of the world. The infrastructure is decaying and technological advancements do not gain ground. Worse is that they show no signs of improving.

The reasons stated above should not be enough to neglect a continent as big as Africa when it comes to money transfer and online money payment services. Most Nigerians remember that it was only in the last few years that Western Union and the likes came to Nigeria. But Paypal
steadfastly continues to neglect the African market.

The fact that Paypal
does not appear to be in a hurry to open their doors to Africa, casts a shadow of doubt. However, it is remarkable to note the strides taken in terms of internet infrastructure by some African countries notably Egypt, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana to mention a few. This achievements seem to go unniticed by Paypal
and others eg Moneybookers etc. A whole lot of online and offline businesses would like to be able to make and receive payments online but are being denied this priviledge by Paypal
and her likes.

It seems that this problem is here to stay for a very long time. What’s more, there does not seem to be any African alternative to the problem. Since there is no alternative, we seem stuck with finding ways of obtaining a verified Paypal
account.

If you want a Paypal
solution that will enable you make and receive payments online, then you can leave a comment at the end of this article or you can mail me  through admin(at)hotbizcafe.com.

Affiliate
marketing essentially refers to a means of endorsing a website, product or service. In return for this endorsement, the Affiliate
(endorser) is compensated for each sale produced by his/her effort.

There are various ways of earning money in Affiliate
marketing. The effort and study that goes into being successful in Affiliate
marketing can be so enormous that every profitable campaign should not be taken lightly. If you are not careful, you could be tempted to give up midway into a campaign.

Thus, you find that as a beginner Affiliate
marketer, you are tempted to give up after sometime believing that only established internet marketers have the key to making money marketing Affiliate
programs.

You should be encouraged as a beginner by the percentage of Affiliate
marketers that make money.

Affiliate
marketing is not that difficult. It is equally not a reserve of the educated or the experienced. It is also not a reserve of the lucky ones as there is no such thing as luck in business of any kind (Luck is opportunity meeting preparation).

With a determination to set priorities and put a lot of focus into Affiliate
marketing, you can be assured that you will acquire the same success that you hear about from other established marketers. This determination will ensure that you do not fall a victim of procrastination.

Expect and allow yourself to be excited at the prospect of success by following certain guidelines to success in Affiliate
marketing and promotion. If you can follow the guidelines, you will be surprised at how easy and also the fact that Affiliate
marketing success is real.

Start by understanding the things that you will not compulsorily need to be successful in an Affiliate
marketing program.

1.  A website is not compulsory to get started

2.  Pay per Click advertising campaign is not compulsory to get started

3.  You don’t have to read long pages of different e-books

4.  There is no software required

Having established some things you will not need to start an Affiliate
marketing program, let us move to the things you will require to make money in Affiliate
marketing.

First, you need an Affiliate
program to market. Select a program that provides an excellent sales letter and an excellent product. You should also opt for a program that offers an outstanding payout income every month. It is possible to have an outstanding profit with programs that rate the Affiliate
on a monthly basis.

Marketing of your Affiliate
program should be the next. An ideal way to market your programs is by writing articles and posting it. This way others can read it and post it on their own website. Every of your article should have a resource box with your name in it a few lines about any other thing you want readers to know. You should use this area to endorse your Affiliate
and also include your Affiliate
link. Your resource box should entice your readers to click on your Affiliate
link
.

As you can see, it’s easy. However, the hard part is that you need to keep to churning out articles regularly like every two days. The more articles you write and post, the more exposure you get for your Affiliate
links. If you find this difficult, then the sweet taste of success might elude you.

This easy plan has been proven work. It will cost you nothing more than your time to write and distribute articles.

To your Affiliate
marketing success.

4 Paypal Mistakes

There is no doubt that Paypal
is the largest and best known payments processor on the internet worldwide.  While Paypal
has proved to be a Godsend for many internet users worldwide, it is no secret that Paypal
has equally been a nightmare for a lot of other internet users.

If you conduct a search on the internet with Paypal
as the subject, you are bound to encounter several complaints about Paypal
ranging from cashbacks to limitations placed on several accounts. This has led several internet marketers and users to give up on Paypal
and start using other payment processors like Liberty Reserve, Alertpay, Webmoney, C-gold etc.

The truth is that while some of these payment processors offer an alternative to Paypal
they have certain limitations.

1.  They have not attained the level of credibility accorded to Paypal
.

2.  They are not as widely used like Paypal
especially in the USA where more than a third of internet users reside.

3.  The ownership structure of some of these processors is not clear.

4.  Some of these processors reside in countries where regulation is lax or non-existent.

Having highlighted the above, I would like to point out some reasons why you will not be able to operate a Paypal
account successfully.

1.  Paypal
is particular about the country you are based in for several reasons of which the chief is internet fraud. For this reason many counties remain banned from Paypal
or are limited in what they can do with a Paypal
account. If you are based in a country that does not enjoy free access to Paypal
or that is out rightly banned, it is possible to open, verify and operate a Paypal
account but you must be careful of your IP address. It is through your IP address that Paypal
can trace from which country your are visiting their site from.

Therefore you need to be able to mask your IP address or find an internet connection that has an IP address from a country that is not banned.

     Never ever visit your Paypal
account from an IP that originates from a banned country e.g. Nigeria
.

2.  Since you opened your Paypal
address with a virtual address that is not in the country you are based in, you need to avoid as much as possible buying physical products that need to be delivered to you physically with your account. This could trigger off wrong signals since the address is not an address that is traceable to you.

Except your virtual address is real i.e there is an arrangement with company providing the virtual address to forward your mails to your address, then its no use buying physical goods with you Paypal
account.

3.   Do not bother to request for the Paypal
Debit card even if you are found to be eligible by Paypal
. The card has to be mailed to you by Paypal
. Now if your address is not reachable it will be returned to Paypal
. Of course, you know Paypal
will want to know why the card could not be delivered to its owner.

      Use your Paypal
account to pay and receive payments only. Leave other fancy features for others
.

4. Definitely you did not use a credit card issued in your country to verify your Paypal
account. Therefore, like most others you verified your account with a virtual credit card that is not reloadable and would have expired after some months. You would therefore find it difficult to load your account with your country issued credit card.

It simply means that you can only load your account with another card issued in the country which you chose for your Paypal
registration OR use any of these Paypal
account funding options listed here.

Now that you know some of the reasons that can get your Paypal
account banned or limited, be careful how you use your Paypal
account.

Now if you don’t have an account yet, don’t be afraid to open one as you can successfully open, verify and operate a Paypal
account from almost anywhere in the world.

Before you open and verify one, visit here to download a free book on how to open, verify and operate a Paypal
account as a non US resident.
